The Large Industry Energy Network (LIEN), supported by SEAI, is a collaborative community of Ireland’s major energy users dedicated to enhancing energy performance and inspiring others to follow suit. Composing 210 of the nation’s largest energy consumers, employing 144,000 individuals, and accounting for 22% of Ireland’s Total Primary Energy Requirement (TPER), LIEN strives to lead the transition towards a cleaner and more energy-efficient future.
Who Can Join LIEN:
LIEN membership is open to companies with an annual energy spend of €1 million or more, fostering collaboration among industry leaders. By joining LIEN, companies commit to developing energy management programs, setting and reviewing energy targets, and reporting annually on energy performance. Eligible members include entities spending at least €1 million on energy annually or those certified or pursuing ISO 50001 certification.

These initiatives collectively contributed to savings of €20.5 million on members’ energy bills.
