Overview of the Role:
As part of a dynamic, multi-skilled and small team, your role is to ensure that our engineering projects are delivered on time, within budget and exceeding scope and delivery expectations. You will primarily work from home, with a requirement to attend client sites. You will develop and manage the company’s project management processes, identify and implement appropriate project management tools, and identify
and engage with new suppliers and partner organizations to promote and support company growth.
The Role:
- Overseeing the development of specific Project(s) from initiation of Design Phase through to Final Handover
- Oversight of third-party partners and providers of technical services
- Implementation of Health & Safety policies and procedures
- Co-ordinating and delivery of Energy Upgrade Projects, and planning application preparation
- External stakeholder management including local communities and local authorities
- Regular management reporting
- Familiarity with and ensuring compliance with Project Management procedures
- Plan and designate project resources, prepare budgets, monitor progress, and keep stakeholders informed
- Attend meetings to update customer on project timelines and any issues and how we intend to resolve these
- Undertake any prescribed training, either formal or on the job, as required by the company
- Assist in the development of project opportunities from Scheme development, Enquiry assessment, Engineering scope determination
- Commercial risk management to mitigate exposure and commercial risk (contractual review, T&Cs, business risk assessment etc.)
- Assist with bid proposals & contract negotiations
- Support Sales in the securing of work for the Projects business
- Plan and manage in house resources allocated to a project
- Plan and manage subcontract resources associated with a project
- Create, issue and maintain timing plans.
- Liaise and coordinate with the design engineers and manufacturing team
- Preparing new quotations
- Liaising with the Customer / business relationship development
- Meeting with both new and existing clients and maintaining favourable relations
- Cost / time estimation of new enquiries – I.e., measuring, producing schedule of works, costing via Excel
- Using online costing / tracking software to monitor jobs / quotes
- Present regular updates to Projects team to ensure good communication and any issues are resolved in a timely manner
- Attending pre-start meetings, regular progress meetings and sign-off/snagging meetings
- Formulating and monitoring of programme of works for discussion with engineers and client
- Liaise with consultants to ensure works are carried out safely on-site and records are up to date
- Overseeing energy optimisation projects
- Preparing project scope of work detailing installation requirements
- Develop best value solutions and business cases for energy opportunities
- Drive constantly improving health, safety, and environmental performance through your portfolio of assigned projects
- Validate of delivered energy savings
- Report project progress and financials
Required skills for this role:
- 3+years of relevant multi disciplinary project management experience (Energy Efficiency, Mechanical systems Electrical systems etc)
- Interest in making a difference and growing with the company. An SME mentality – Get stuck in, make changes and make a difference
- A bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering, project management, energy systems or a relevant field
- Experience within commercial, critical or industrial environments
- Knowledge and experience of Project Management practice
- Be knowledgeable in energy efficiency solutions/technologies (preferable)
- Understanding of power generation business and renewable energy technology
- Familiarity with building systems and equipment, including HVAC, heat pumps, lighting, boilers, motors, cooling systems, factory processes, energy management systems, building management systems etc.
- Experience of stakeholder engagement and management
- Possess the ability to analyze data and make decisions on partial information
- Have strong influencing and negotiating skills along with good planning and estimating skills
- Proficient use of relevant softwares for project management,
- Familiarity with Google Workspace, Monday.com are an advantage
- Interest in supporting the development of team mates and own professional development.
- Have excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, to clearly interact with our customers
Location & Travel:
Celtic Dynamic’s is based in Galway City, Co. Galway, Ireland. There will be a requirement for travel throughout Ireland for the purposes of projects, meetings and conferences as well as travel abroad if required.
