About the Fund
The Enterprise Emissions Reduction Investment Fund operates under the Green Transition Fund, which is part of Ireland’s National Recovery and Resilience Plan, funded by the European Union. The primary objective is to accelerate the decarbonization of Irish enterprises. This initiative specifically targets companies in manufacturing sectors associated with Enterprise Ireland, IDA Ireland, and Údarás na Gaeltachta, adhering to their respective policies and eligibility criteria.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this grant, companies must meet the following criteria:
- Employ 10 or more full-time employees in Ireland at the time of application.
- Have been generating sales for at least 5 years.
- Hold a valid tax clearance certificate.
- Agree to provide feedback and data to Enterprise Ireland.
- Have not received any other public funding for the same project.
- Comply with relevant EU and national environmental legislation and the ‘Do no significant harm’ Technical Guidance.
Grant Details
- Grant Value: Up to €50,000 covering 50% of eligible costs (with a maximum expenditure limit of €100,000).
- Minimum Eligible Expenditure: €10,000.
- Eligible Costs: Includes hardware costs, installation, and commissioning expenses
How to Apply
To apply for the grant, applicants must submit the following documents along with the online application form:
- Copy of the tax clearance certificate.
- Quotation from the approved provider.
- Completed project plan template.
What It Covers
The grant supports the acquisition of hardware for new metering systems, including but not limited to electricity, gas, diesel, oil, water, and steam. Additionally, reasonable installation and commissioning costs are covered.

It’s important to note that the State Aid basis for this offer is de minimis funding.
