Remedio Panadería: Energy Audit to Improve Energy Efficiency

THE PROJECT

The recommendations proposed to Remedio Bakery targeted the production area as well as the refrigeration system, oven, and transportation.

These included:

Installation of variable frequency drives (VFDs)

to adjust motor speeds on different equipment and avoid unnecessary energy use.

Replacement of refrigeration units

with more efficient models to reduce electricity consumption for food preservation.

Improvement of oven insulation

to reduce heat losses and increase cooking process efficiency.

Installation of an Energy Management System (EMS)

to monitor the energy consumption of critical equipment or hidden loads such as equipment left on outside of operating hours.

Installation of solar panels

to generate a significant share of the site’s required electricity.

Optimization of logistics routes

to reduce fuel consumption and vehicle wear.

Project Commissioning, Verification & Warranty Services

Finally, the project required us to commission verified & certified companies to carry out our recommendations.
